Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) provides a direct and cost-effective transportation route as part of the Southern Gas Corridor a 3,500-kilometer gas value chain stretching from the Caspian Sea to Europe. The TAP pipeline system has a transport capacity of 10 BCMA and is currently being expanded. As part of this transport capacity expansion, the ACS02 compressor station (located near the Albanian-Greek border) will increase its capacity from 10 BCMA to the required capacity and determined in the future according to the results of the energy market testing.
EMA team in cooperation with the international team of ERM has conducted the ESIA report of the extension plans at ACS02 (Bilishti station) including the installation of electrical compressions and connection of the electrical line 400kv of 1.7km. EMA provided expertise in baseline studies and assessment, stakeholder engagement and public hearings. ESIA process is developed in line with EBRD Standards and national regulatory requirements for EIA and permitting.
