ESIA report, Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) & Biodiversity Management Plan (BMP)

The Global Subnational Climate Fund (“SCF”) through its 100% subsidiary SCF Master Holdco Limited along with NOTUS energy GmbH and Aga-Solar shpk, together this “Consortium” or the “Sponsors” are developing a 67.12MWp solar photovoltaic (“Solar PV”) power project and associated infrastructure in Fieri region, Albania.

EMA team has been engaged in preparation of the ESIA report for this project in line with EBRD and national requirements.  EMA team has also developed the Environmental and Social Management Plan and Biodiversity Management Plan (BMP) of the project. Both plans are developed based on ESIA report findings and recommendations and requirements of EBRD and IFC Standards and national regulatory system. The ESMP included project specific actions for each EBRD and IFC Standards as part of the project ESMS. The BMP actions are focused to ensure protection of the aquatic system within the PV site and restore the impacted areas of such habitats as compensation measures. Seasonal biodiversity site surveys are performed with the main focus on amphibians. The BMP approach defines specific avoidance, reduction and compensation measures by initially prioritised actions that protect the habitat and consequently its supporting species.
